Configure outlook or mail client

To configure outlook for gmail follow following step

1. Open outlook
2. Click on next
3. Tick manually configure email setting
4. Type your name
5. Type email id
6. Chose pop3 from dropdown box.
7. In smtp,  smtp.gmail.com
8. In pop,  pop.gmail.com
9. In username, enter your email id
10. In password,  type your password
11. Click on advanced setting
12. go to connection tab
13. Tick the first option(smtp requires secured connection
14. Go to last tab(advanced tab)
15. Select ssl from dropdown box and port no in smtp is 995
16. Port no in pop3 465
17. Again select ssl from 2nd dropdown  box
18. Click on ok
19. Click on test connection
If it succeeds in sending then you are done else
You need to open gmail and follow following steps
1. Open gmail on web browser
2. Click on setting icon( gear shaped icon)
3. Go to forward and pop/imap tab
4. Tick enable pop for all email
5. Tick Disable imap
6. Click on save changes

7. Now click on google account on top of the page
8. Click on sign in and security
9. Tick allow less secure apps

And you are done configuring outlook
You will be able to receive and send emails via outlook
